I found Karen through the USC career services website and I am so incredibly grateful for her!!! She redid my resume for me as I am applying for graduate schools and she tailored my resume to highlight how my skills and experience compliment what the schools are looking for - something I would have no idea how to do effectively! She took the time to get to know my background and my goals and had great communication with me during the entire process. I absolutely recommend her, as she is clearly an expert at writing resumes. You will be beyond happy with the resume she crafts for you!

Call Karen if you need direction in your search and help with your resume. She took the time to really understand my skill-set and background. Most importantly what to edit out of my resume...which was a lot! Since sending this new version to hiring managers, I have two promising interviews scheduled. Laura K.

I was feeling stuck in my career development and found job searching daunting. For the first time ever, I reached out to a few resume services and career coaches. With the phone consultation alone, Karen clearly and succinctly highlighted areas for improvement, was super empathetic, and helped build my confidence back up. Each session was extremely useful, and Karen "taught me how to fish" rather than simply handing me a fish. Karen really knows her stuff and also explains the hiring perspective / psychology very well. I re-vamped my resume and LinkedIn per Karen's coaching and I am already getting more responses than ever before. I have always dreaded cover letters the most, but Karen gave me the tools necessary to write a strong and effective letter. There are so many companies and services out there, but I am very glad I decided to go with KTS Career Coaching. The cost was much more reasonable than I anticipated , and every penny was well spent. I have already refered frie...

Feeling stuck? Do you want to make a career change, have you been laid off due to the coronavirus pandemic, or have you recently graduated from college? As an experienced Career Coaching professional, I can help you explore your options and identify your interests.

KTS Career Coaching is a boutique firm providing you with customized career coaching, assessments and comprehensive job search assistance.

As a Career Counselor for over 25 years, I have helped thousands discover their career interests, write résumés and LinkedIn profiles, develop interview skills and learn successful job search/networking strategies.

Even before the pandemic, I understood the anxiety people felt when thinking about the job search, interviewing, or changing jobs. In light of Covid-19, I remain aware of trends affecting job hunting by speaking with recruiters regularly which gives me insight into what they seek in candidates.

I offer one-on-one career coaching to help you determine your ideal role. Since everyone is unique, my counseling style provides a personalized action plan rather than a 'one size fits all' approach. With my experience of living abroad and traveling to 33 countries, I have a deep appreciation of diverse cultures and connect easily with people from all parts of the world.

Professionally, I am pleased to be recognized as an expert in the career coaching field, interviewed by the Los Angeles Times for an article about advice for recently laid-off individuals. I have held Career Consulting roles at the University of Southern California's main career center, the Marshall School of Business, and Occidental College. Additionally, I served as the Career Services Director at Pitzer College (part of the Claremont College Consortium) for over 12 years.

Furthermore, I served as a Mock Interview Consultant with two highly regarded International Education Admissions Advising companies. In that role, I prepared clients for admissions interviews at colleges, MBA and graduate programs.

I am a longstanding National Career Development Association (NCDA) member, a Certified Professional Résumé Writer (CPRW) and a member of the Professional Association of Résumé Writers/Career Coaches (PARW/CC).  My Bachelor’s degree is in Psychology and I hold a Master’s degree in Industrial Psychology.

Clients include mid-to-senior career professionals, C-suite executives, individuals returning to the workforce after taking time off, recent college graduates, those laid off or furloughed due to the coronavirus outbreak and individuals changing careers.

Industries include entertainment, education, engineering, healthcare, technology, finance, business, marketing, sales, public relations, nonprofits, real estate, management consulting, higher education, communication & media, science, startups, the arts, military and more.
